Life Lessons Learned Through Lifting

In this episode we chat to Aaron Brewer - Head Coach at PPS Morley about the lessons in life that his Powerlifting pursuit has taught him.

He shares how his lifting journey started at 18 years old with the ambition to represent Australia on the world stage. A goal which he achieved before the age of 25, which as he describes, filled him with imense pride.

But more importantly he tells us about the up's and down's of his lifting career, losing his identity when struck by serious injury and how he learned to bounce back from adversity to be stronger than ever. Some powerful lessons for any aspiring lifters out there.

Skinny, Scarred and Self-Conscious

In the inaugural episode Johnny shares his story; Growing up as a 'skinny' kid with body confidence issues - which prevented him from learning how to swim, or feel comfortable with his top off and not stepping foot into gym until the age of 24.

Now at Age 33, not only has he built muscles in the gym, he's built his self-confidence and self-belief.

This has lead him to become a Coach and open PPS; where with the help of his team - they help others in a similiar situation, every day to find their confidence and transform their lives using strength-training.
